OR/MS Tomorrow is the student membership magazine for INFORMS (the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences). The bi-annual publication provides a look at operations research and management science through featured articles, student publications, relevant job listings and chapter and member spotlights. It is an official online publication of INFORMS.
OR/MS Tomorrow is looking to fill the positions of Co-Editor, Webmaster, and Editorial Board Member. Please find the requirements for each position listed below. If you are interested in applying, complete the application form and send it to orms_tomorrow[at]mail.informs.org
The responsibilities of a Co-Editor:
- Determine the content of OR/MS Tomorrow
- Make sure that there is enough new material for the readers
- Publish (at least) two online editions of OR/MS Tomorrow per academic year
- Interact with INFORMS personnel
- Be available for telephone conference calls, and travel to annual conference (paid by INFORMS)

- Bring forward any ideas you might have on interesting topics for OR/MS Tomorrow
- Review a maximum of three papers for the student paper competition
You must also still be a student and we would require your commitment for at least one year. Of course it's a truly group activity. INFORMS is very supportive and provides us with a small operating budget for the year. There are editorial meetings at one of the Co- Editor's schools to plan each edition. These travel costs are covered in the budget.
There are some nice perks from this position. There is funding in the budget to help with travel to the National Informs meetings. Your name will become quite well known in the Informs community. Most of all, you are making a significant contribution to our professional group on our journey to becoming OR/MS practitioners (and academics!)
